Acoustra

Acoustra are one of the most versatile bands you will ever see. 15 years in the entertainment business means we know how to read a crowd and how to interact with them. Our extensive set incorporates all the music you need for your venue, wedding or whatever party or event. Hearing is believing! We are in our element playing to a full room of people up for a good time. All the top country classics for jiving, sets of waltzes, 60″s and 70″s classics that everyone loves to dance to, and of course, Irish/Folk and Trad.

With accordion as lead instrument we get the floor hopping with a siege of Ennis, we play popular Irish and Folk Ballads, slow songs for intimate moments on the dance floor, Rock and Roll medleys, Swing and Boogie and of course up to date chart hits.

Our set list is constantly updated as new songs are added. Acoustra are a 3, 4 or 5 piece group which includes Yvonne McCarthy as joint lead vocalist in the event that a wedding or event would like to have both male and female singers.

We are centrally based in Limerick and have performed in numerous venues nationwide; we can reach most places within 2 hours. We have no problem traveling to come and perform for you. With 3 vocals there are lots of harmonies and a huge selection of songs.

We are reliable, friendly, professional, punctual and approachable. Our sound is natural, no backing tracks and we keep the volume at a respectable level. We have a range of speaker systems and can play for a small party of fewer than 100, up to a full large hotel room of 300.

We can also perform with percussion instead of drums for smaller intimate locations if required. We can also help you with the music for any part of your big day including pre -wedding dinner drinks reception music, and a choice of music for the church ceremony, Full band for the main event and Disco.

Mama Martin

Formed in August 2014, The Mama Martin Band, have been developing a strong following, both online, and at their gigs throughout the country. Inspired by the early blues masters and more recent rock icons like Cream and ZZtop, they have melded together an array of musical styles, to create an energetic and melodic mix of pure rock and roll magic.
Front woman Andrea Martin holds the crowds with her unique brand of sass and vivaciousness that helped the band to victory, at the Radio Nova Battle Of The Bands 2014.
The funk rock styling’s of drummer and percussionist Alan Doyle glues Colm Rooneys solid and brilliant bass-lines to an awesome groove that gets many comparisons with Motown, Queen, Gov’t Mule and Head-hunters. Aidan Dempsey adds a special ingredient of jazz with his outstanding saxophone playing bringing the brass sound to a total new level
This band entertains and loves to play ,and play well, being firmly grounded in their life on the road, they guarantee a great night wherever they set up and play. They are set to release their highly anticipated debut e.p this year, and already have the calendar filling up with bookings from established festivals, like the annual International Rory Gallagher Festival, in Ballyshannon, Co Donegal ,Linton blues festival u.k. Monaghan Blues festival, Bike rallys, More uk dates to be confirmed and a European tour for 2017.
